Terms and conditions
These terms are in three parts:
- Part A — General terms apply to everyone who uses any FWD// Go Forward service.
- Part B — Product terms apply if you buy the Go Forward digital product.
- Part C — Coaching terms apply if you buy 1:1 personal training or a coaching plan.
The digital product and coaching are separate. Buying one does not sign you up to the other. If you have both, Parts A, B and C all apply, and each is paid for and refunded separately. If Part B or C conflicts with Part A, Part B or C wins for that service.
Part A — General terms
A1. About us
FWD// Go Forward services are provided by Lee Reece trading as FWD// Go Forward (“Go Forward”, “we”, “us”). Contact: hello@gofwd.uk
These terms form a contract between you and us when you sign up or book. Please read them first. If you do not agree, do not sign up or book.
A2. Who can use our services
- You must be 18 or over.
- Before you start you must complete our Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q) and health questionnaire, as set out in clause A3.
- If your answers suggest you need medical clearance, we may ask you to get it before you take part in any training.
A3. Your health, the PAR-Q and your responsibilities
- Full disclosure. Before your first session, coaching plan or any training we provide, you must complete our PAR-Q and health questionnaire fully and honestly. You must declare every injury, illness, medical condition, symptom, medication, surgery, pregnancy or health concern, past or present, no matter how minor or irrelevant it may seem. If in doubt, declare it.
- New or changed conditions. Throughout your time with us, you must tell us about any new or changed injury, condition, symptom, medication, pregnancy or health concern before your next session or as soon as reasonably possible. You must not train with us until you have told us. We may ask you to update your PAR-Q at any time, and at least once every 12 months.
- If you don’t declare. We plan your training based on what you tell us. If you fail to declare, or give inaccurate or incomplete information about, any injury, condition or health concern, you accept full responsibility for any injury, illness, aggravation of an existing condition or other effect that results from it, and we will not be liable for it.
- Following our instructions. You must use machines and equipment, and perform exercises, only in the way we have instructed and demonstrated. If you use equipment or perform exercises in a way we have not instructed, ignore our guidance or safety advice, or train beyond what we have prescribed, you do so at your own risk, and we will not be liable for any injury, illness or aggravation that results.
- Stopping safely. You take part in any exercise at your own discretion and within your own limits. Stop immediately and tell us, or seek medical help, if you feel pain, dizziness, chest discomfort or unusual shortness of breath.
Our content and advice are general fitness information, not medical or psychological advice. See our Website Disclaimer.
You are responsible for following the rules of any gym or venue you train in.
Results depend on many things outside our control, including your consistency, sleep, nutrition and health. We do not guarantee any particular result.
Clauses A3.3 and A3.4 apply to the fullest extent permitted by law and are subject to clause A8.1.
A4. Safeguarding and confidentiality
Our services can involve hearing about your life, health and wellbeing. We take that trust seriously and keep what you tell us confidential, except as set out in this clause.
We may share information with the appropriate people (such as emergency services, the police, or local authority adult or children’s social care) without your consent if we reasonably believe:
- you or someone else is at risk of serious harm;
- a child or an adult at risk is being, or may be, abused or neglected;
- a serious crime has been, or may be, committed; or
- we are required to by law or by a court.
Where it is safe and appropriate, we will try to talk to you first before sharing anything.
I am a fitness coach, and although I have received training as a Mental Health Ambassador, I am not a counsellor or crisis service. Messages and the community group are not monitored around the clock. If you are in crisis, call 999, NHS 111, or Samaritans free on 116 123.
We keep professional boundaries with everyone we work with. Please do not share other people’s personal information, images or private details in the community.
Any concern about the conduct of a member, a client, or of us, can be raised in confidence at hello@gofwd.uk
A5. Intellectual property — all rights reserved
All content we provide, including text, videos, audio, images, training plans, programmes, workbooks, lessons, the FWD// and Go Forward names and logos, and the design of our website, is owned by or licensed to us. © 2026 FWD// Go Forward. All rights reserved.
We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use our content for your own training while your access to the Product or your coaching is active. Downloads you have received under Part B may be kept for your own personal use, unless you are refunded.
You must not copy, record, screenshot for distribution, resell, share, publish, adapt or use our content for commercial purposes, or to train others, without our written permission.
If you post anything in our community, you keep ownership of it but allow us to display it within the community.
A6. Conduct
When using any Go Forward service, in person or online, you must not:
- be abusive, threatening, discriminatory, harassing or sexually inappropriate towards us, any member or anyone at a venue we use;
- share content that is offensive, illegal, misleading or unsafe;
- promote or sell your own or anyone else’s products or services without our permission;
- give medical advice to others or encourage unsafe training or extreme dieting;
- share other people’s personal information or anything said in confidence; or
- break these terms or the rules of any gym or venue we use.
A7. Our right to suspend or end your services
We may suspend or end your access to the Product, your coaching, or both, immediately by email if you break clause A5 or A6, behave in a way we reasonably consider unsuitable, unsafe or harmful to us or others, give us false information, or fail to pay.
If we end a service under clause A7.1, you will not receive a refund for the Product, the current billing month or sessions already paid for.
We may also end a service for any other reason by giving you at least 30 days’ notice.
If we end a service under clause A7.3, or because we stop providing it, we will refund any amount you have paid for a period after your access ends and for any prepaid sessions not delivered.
A8. Our liability to you
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
Subject to clause A8.1, we are not responsible for:
- injury, loss or damage caused by your failure to follow our guidance, your own actions, or information you did not give us;
- loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when you signed up or booked;
- any business losses, as our services are for personal use only; or
- faults with third-party platforms we use (such as WhatsApp, GoCardless, LYFTA or Setmore) that are outside our control.
Subject to clause A8.1, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the total fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including if our services are not provided with reasonable care and skill or do not match their description. In those cases you may be entitled to a repeat performance or a price reduction.
A9. Your personal information
We use your personal information, including health information you give us, only as described in our Privacy Policy and in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. We ask for your explicit consent before collecting health information.
A10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example to reflect changes in the law or our services. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice of any significant change. If you do not agree, you can cancel before it takes effect.
A11. Complaints and general terms
If you are unhappy, please email hello@gofwd.uk. We aim to respond within 5 days.
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest will still apply.
These terms are between you and us. No one else has rights under them.
Events outside our reasonable control, such as illness, platform outages or venue closure, will not be a breach of these terms, but we will tell you and minimise disruption.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or in Scotland or Northern Ireland if you live there.
Part B — Product terms
Available to UK customers only. Buyers must accept Parts A and B at checkout.
B1. What you get
The Go Forward digital product (“the Product”) is a one-off purchase. It includes:
- The First 12 — a 12-session beginner programme you work through at your own pace;
- the Toolkit;
- the PDF guide;
- the email programme, sent to you by email starting from the day you buy, to support you through The First 12; and
- access to our WhatsApp community.
The Product does not include 1:1 personal training or a personalised coaching plan. These are sold separately under Part C.
The Product is for your personal use only. You must not share your downloads, emails, links or community invite with anyone else.
The Product is available to UK customers only.
B2. How long your access lasts
- Toolkit and PDF: these are yours to download and keep for your own personal use. Please save them when you receive them. Download links stay active for 12 months from purchase.
- Email programme: the emails are sent on a set schedule from your purchase date until the final email. Once an email has been sent, you can keep it.
- WhatsApp community: your access lasts for 16 weeks from purchase. After that we may remove you from the community. Any messaging support included with the Product lasts for the same period.
The Product does not include lifetime access to the community or to any support.
We may update or improve the content, as long as what you receive stays substantially the same as what you paid for.
B3. Price and the launch offer
The Product is a single one-off payment, taken once through GoCardless. It is not a subscription, and we will not take any further payments.
Launch offer: the first 100 completed purchases cost £27. After that, the price is £47.
A “completed purchase” means a payment we have successfully received and not refunded. Payments that fail, are cancelled or are refunded do not count, and a refunded place goes back into the 100.
The price shown at checkout when you pay is the price you pay. We will update the price on our website once the 100 launch places have gone.
B4. Your 14-day cancellation right and refunds
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you normally have 14 days from purchase to cancel and get a refund.
Digital parts. The First 12, the Toolkit, the PDF and the email programme are digital content, which we make available to you straight away. At checkout we will ask you to tick a box confirming:
“I want immediate access to the digital content in my Go Forward product. I understand that once it is made available to me, I lose my right to cancel and get a refund for the digital content.”
Once you give that confirmation and the digital content is made available to you, the digital parts of the Product are non-refundable.
WhatsApp community. Community access is a service, not digital content. If you cancel within 14 days of purchase, we will refund the community part of the price, which is £5, minus a proportionate amount for the time you have had access.
If you do not give the confirmation in clause B4.2, we will make the digital content available after the 14-day period ends, and you can cancel for a full refund at any time before then.
If any digital content we supply is faulty, tell us and we will repair or replace it. If we can’t, you may be entitled to a price reduction. Your rights under clauses A7.4 and A8.4 also still apply.
B5. How refunds are paid
To ask for a refund, email hello@gofwd.uk.
Where a refund is due, we will pay it back through GoCardless to the account you paid from, within 14 days of agreeing it.
Once a refund is made, your access ends. We will remove you from the WhatsApp community and stop the email programme, and you must delete the Toolkit, the PDF and any other content you have downloaded. Your licence under clause A5.2 ends at the same time.
Part C — Coaching terms
Coaching clients must accept Parts A and C before their first session or plan starts. Coaching is separate from membership.
C1. What coaching includes
We offer:
- pay-as-you-go 1:1 personal training sessions; and
- monthly coaching plans, which may include 1:1 sessions, a personalised training programme delivered through LYFTA, check-ins and messaging support,
as described on our website at the time you buy.
Sessions take place at Gymworks Skelmersdale or another venue we agree with you. You must follow that venue’s rules and may need your own membership or day pass there.
We aim to reply to coaching messages the same day, and always within 24 hours, on working days. We are not available around the clock.
We may stop or change a session or exercise at any time if we believe it is unsafe for you. Tell us straight away if you feel pain or unwell during a session.
C2. Booking sessions
Sessions are booked through our booking system (currently Setmore) or directly with us.
Sessions last 45 minutes unless agreed otherwise. If you arrive late, the session will still end at its scheduled time and will be charged in full.
If we run late, you will get your full session time or the missing time added to a future session.
C3. Cancelling or missing a session
To cancel or rearrange a session, give us at least 48 hours’ notice through Setmore or by messaging us.
If you cancel with less notice, or don’t turn up, the session is treated as used and is not refunded or rearranged. We may make an exception at our discretion, for example in a genuine emergency.
If we have to cancel a session, we will give as much notice as possible and offer you another session or a refund for that session.
C4. Time bank — cutting a session short for your wellbeing
The gym can feel overwhelming, especially early on. Pushing through when you’re struggling isn’t always the right call, and you shouldn’t lose out for listening to your body and mind. That’s what the time bank is for.
The time bank is agreed with you before your coaching starts.
If you feel overwhelmed during a session, and we agree together that stopping early is better for your wellbeing, any unused session time goes into your time bank. The same applies if we stop a session early for your safety under clause C1.4.
We will tell you how much time has been banked, and keep a record of your balance that you can ask to see at any time.
You can use banked time:
- by adding it to a future session, once you’re feeling ready; or
- as extra session time added onto the end of your programme.
We will agree with you when and how banked time is used, subject to availability.
Banked time must be used within 3 months of being banked, or within 4 weeks of your coaching ending, whichever is sooner.
The time bank does not cover late arrivals (clause C2.2), late cancellations or missed sessions (clause C3.2), or sessions ended early for reasons unrelated to your wellbeing or safety.
Banked time has no cash value, cannot be refunded or transferred to anyone else, and cannot be used for membership.
C5. Price and payment
Prices are as shown on our website or agreed with you in writing at the time you buy.
Pay-as-you-go sessions are paid in full when you book.
Monthly coaching plans are paid monthly in advance by Direct Debit through GoCardless. Your payments are protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee.
Sessions included in a monthly plan must be used within that month and do not roll over, unless we cancelled a session, the time is held in your time bank under clause C4, or we agree otherwise in writing.
We may change our prices by giving you at least 30 days’ notice. If you do not want to pay the new price, you can cancel before it takes effect.
If a payment fails, we may pause your coaching until it is paid. If it is still unpaid after 14 days, we may end your coaching.
C6. Your 14-day cancellation right and refunds
If you buy coaching online, by phone or by message, you have 14 days from purchase to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. This right does not apply to coaching bought face to face with us at the gym.
If you ask us to start your coaching within those 14 days, we will ask you to confirm this. If you then cancel within the 14 days, we will refund what you paid minus a proportionate amount for the sessions, programme and support already provided.
After the 14-day period, or once your coaching has been fully provided, coaching payments are non-refundable. Sessions that have taken place are never refundable.
The only exceptions are where clause A7.4 applies, where we cancel a session under clause C3.3, or where you are entitled to a remedy under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (see clause A8.4).
C7. Ending a coaching plan — no minimum term
Monthly coaching plans have no minimum term. You can cancel at any time by emailing hello@gofwd.uk or cancelling your Direct Debit. Please tell us as well.
Cancellation stops future payments. Your plan continues until the end of the month you have already paid for, and you can use any remaining sessions in that month. We do not refund part-months.
Cancelling coaching does not affect your access to the digital product, if you have it. The Product is covered separately by Part B.
C8. Pausing for illness or injury
If illness, injury or pregnancy means you can’t train, tell us. We may agree to pause your monthly plan for up to 4 weeks at our discretion. We may ask for reasonable evidence for longer pauses.
C9. Our coaching relationship
We keep a professional relationship with every client. Coaching communication should take place through our booking system, email or agreed messaging channels.
Photos or videos of you taken during coaching are for tracking your progress only. We will never share them publicly without your written consent.
